Koraput in Orissa is natural resources but the tribes living in this place are poor, landless and lack minimum basic needs even today. The headload of fuel wood or charcoal is a common sight with tribal women here. To this adds the burden of bringing up their new born. They go to the forest when they are in carrying stage and even after the birth of the child till he grows up, the child has to cling to the mother with no care takers left behind. All the govt's schemes for their uplift has proven farse
